Adding Flags to a Report
The GTS adds Concern of Loss flags to reports automatically when common warning signs exist (i.e. invasion of principal, unauthorized gifts, criminal activity by the guardian, etc.) that require further review. This automation, however, does not account for every possible concern. As a result, flags can be added to reports manually during the review process to call attention to any otherwise unspecified area that needs additional investigation or other follow-up action.
Creating the Manual Flag
To add a manual flag, perform the following:
1. |
Under Ready for Review on the Dashboard, click the Flag Review icon |
2. |
Find a question that needs to have a flag added and click the Add Manual Flag icon |
3. |
For the Description, summarize the subject of the flag. |
4. |
The Concern Status defaults to New and should not be changed. |
5. |
Record detailed Comments that explain the reason the flag is needed. |
6. |
Click the SUBMIT button. You are returned to the Flag Review screen and the manual flag displays in the grid with the question. |
7. |
Repeat Steps 2 through 7 for any additional questions that require a manual flag. |
8. |
When finished adding flags, ensure the Close radio button is selected at the bottom of the report and click the OK button. |
Viewing the Previous Report During the Flag Review Process
The Previous Report section, viewable on the Flag Review screen, is accessible by clicking the appropriate Flag Review icon within the Ready for Review tab on the Dashboard. This feature provides the ability, when it applies to a given case, to compare the report under review with the most recent report of the same type in a status of Reviewed. For example, for any given guardianship, a report that was completed with a period ending in 2024 will display in this section when reviewing a submitted report of the same type with a period ending in 2025. The availability of this historical information might help in determining if the addition of a flag is necessary on the report currently under review.
If you’re reviewing the first Guardian of the Person report for a guardianship, this section will remain blank. If you’re reviewing the first Guardian of the Estate report for a guardianship, the Inventory report displays in this section.
Clicking the corresponding icon for any report appearing in this section opens a PDF version of the report in a new browser tab.
